Rear-facing

I have been researching car seat safety for my neighbor with a 10 month old and came across a lot of information that is new to me. I feel the need to spread the word to everyone I know because employees at baby stores that sell car seats don't even know this research!

The American Academy of Pediatrics states
...for optimal protection, the child should remain rear facing until reaching the maximum weight for the car safety seat, as long as the top of the head is below the top of the seat back.
