Pirate day!

After tying scarves on our heads, decorating hats, and spy glasses, we set off on our sloop (an upside down table) to begin our treasure hunt! We spotted land and began looking for our first clue. Matthew put a "P" word in about 5 empty bottles. Each word was a clue to where the next bottle was.

After they matched the word to our "p" list, they looked for the next clue.

For example, this bottle is hiding in the pink house, so in order to find it, they were looking for something pink. The other clues were puddle, pot, plant, and pipe.

I didn't get a picture of it, but the last clue said that "p" marked the spot, not an X. Matthew set up 3 trick holes that were marked by an "X". After a lot of searching they found a letter "p" laying under a picnic table!

They all quickly began to dig!

This was our buried treasure!
